Forget about pc gamepads

Why not use your ps2 game pads you should have laying around and hook them up to your computer? It’s relatively easy so don’t worry, it isn’t complicated at all. Took me about five minutes to set it up once I got everything.

You can also get dancepads to play Stepmania . Game similar to DDR. Works like a charm!

Does it really work?

Works fine for me, I simply connect either a ps2 controller or dance pad and I’m good to go.

So where do I get this stuff?

I bought 2 dance pads on eBay for $20 including shipping and the dual shooter for less than $20 on it as well.

If you don’t want to hassle with ebay you can try buying the dual shooter here.

You can also buy the dance pads at Game Stop, EBGames, and other popular retailers. They have to be for the ps2, since the dual shooter only connects these peripherals to your pc.

If you have trouble finding some, hit me up and I’ll gladly help you out.

Flash Flash Revolution (or FFR) is a music-based rhythm game that runs through Adobe Flash and an Internet browser, making it a full-fledged online music title that requires no downloads or fees to play. Players can choose from hundreds of songs from a number of genres produced by popular signed and independent artists. Each game level has a corresponding pattern of arrows that corresponds to the current song being played. The pattern of arrows scrolls from the bottom of the play field and players must hit the corresponding arrow when it meets the stationary arrows located at the top of the play field.

With proper timing, players earn points and keep a performance meter filled and aim to not let the meter empty before the song ends. If a player allows the meter to completely empty, through missed key entries, the game ends.

If you’ve ever played a game like Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Beatmania, or In The Groove, you should feel right at home here. – Flash Flash Revolution

For those who want to play something similar to DDR, go ahead and check this out! You can become a member, and have detailed stats and earn points for everytime you play! Worth a look for all you DDR fans. If you want something offline, check our blog post on StepMania!
