As some of you know SHPE is recruiting incoming freshmen at the BearFacts Expo.

We will be attending the expo the following dates:
July 10, 16, 24 and 27.

If you would like to come and join us recruit new members for this year, then you are more than welcome to do so.

The number of peple interested in SHPE is surprising and we have had a lot of fun! If you have any questions, then definitely let us know.

Purpose of activity:

Fundraising and social event for SHPE members for the end of the year to shake off the stress of upcoming finals week by Bowling!

Description of the activity:

SHPE at UCR made an agreement with Brunswick Bowl to have a fundraiser on a Thursday during their Cosmic Bowling. Brunswick Bowl agreed and gave us tickets to sell for $10. Each ticket came with 3 games, shoe rental, and a $5 donation towards SHPE at UCR.
SHPE members were greeted at Brunswick Bowl with a table containing our banner and poster board.

Evaluation of the activity:

The bowling event went great. Many students got a better feel for who is in SHPE and others were interested in joining to become official members as well. We had many fresh faces that came and gave support.
Attendance was higher than expected because it was the week before finals week. Over it went well and SHPE at UCR made $125.
